What do the lights on the charger mean?

What's in This Article?

MEATER

The LED will only light up while you're pressing the black button on the charger, and this tells you the status of the AAA battery:

  • If the LED lights up green, the battery is still good.
  • If it doesn't light up, the battery needs to be changed.

MEATER Plus and MEATER SE

Just like with the original MEATER, you can press the button to check the AAA battery status:

  • If the LED lights up green, the battery is still good.
  • If it lights up red, or doesn't light up at all, the battery needs to be changed.

The LED will also flash to let you know the connection status of the probe to the charger:

  • If it flashes green, the probe and charger are connected.
  • If it flashes red, the charger is unable to locate the probe.
  • During firmware updates, the LED will rapidly blink red.

MEATER Block

The LED will only flash red, and it does this any time the charger is turned on.

MEATER Pro

There isn't a button on the charger, but you'll be able to see the AAA battery status right when you take the probe out of the charger, or when you insert a new battery:

  • If the LED lights up green for 3 seconds, the battery is still good.
  • If it doesn't light up, the battery needs to be changed.

When the probe is out of the charger, the flashing light behaves the same as MEATER Plus or MEATER SE.

MEATER Pro will also show a light when the probe is put back in the charger:

  • If the LED lights up green, the charger recognizes the probe, and the probe should be able to charge.
  • If there isn't a light, the charger can't detect the probe, which usually means the probe needs a good cleaning.

MEATER Pro Duo

The behavior is very similar to MEATER Pro, except there are 2 LEDs instead of one. They each correspond to one of the probes.

MEATER Pro Duo is charged via USB-C cable instead of using disposable batteries, and you can see the charge status when you take either of the probes out of the charger:

  • If the LED on the same side lights up green for 3 seconds, the product still has a good level of charge.
  • If it doesn't light up, the charger should be plugged in.

While the charger is plugged in, the left LED will slowly blink red. If you're updated to firmware version 3.0.9.8 or newer, both LEDs will be solid green when the product is fully charged.

When one of the probes is out of the charger, its corresponding flashing light behaves the same as MEATER Plus, MEATER SE, or MEATER Pro.

MEATER Pro Duo will also show a light when one of the probes is put back in the charger:

  • If the respective LED lights up green, the charger recognizes the probe, and the probe should be able to charge.
  • If there isn't a light, the charger can't detect the probe, which usually means the probe needs a good cleaning.

MEATER Pro XL

Just like MEATER Block, the LED flashes red while the charger is on. It will also blink slowly while the charger is plugged in.
