While you're updating your MEATER Block firmware, make sure you stay close to your WiFi router and have a strong internet connection.
If the update still fails, it might be because of added security on your network. To see if this might be the case, we recommend connecting to a different network and trying again. For help switching to another network, check out Changing WiFi Networks - MEATER Block.
You can also try updating the firmware on a mobile hotspot.
- PLEASE NOTE: This option is not available for devices using iOS 18 or newer.
To try this, use the steps below:
- Disable any third-party security software (VPNs or firewalls) on your phone or tablet, just while the product is updating.
- Enable a mobile hotspot on an extra phone or tablet.
- Connect both your main mobile device and your MEATER Block to the hotspot.
- Open the MEATER app and start the update.
- While your MEATER Block is updating, make sure the charger and your mobile device stay right next to each other, and that the app stays open.
Once the update pushes through, you can switch back to your home network for cooking.
