The MEATER app is designed to support multi-device cooking, making it easy to monitor several meats at once, even if they’re cooking to different temperatures. Here's everything you need to know about using multiple MEATER devices and probes simultaneously.
Device & Probe Limits
The MEATER app can connect with:
- Up to 5 MEATER devices via Bluetooth
- Up to 8 MEATER devices using MEATER Link
Depending on the type of MEATER device:
- 5 MEATER Blocks or Pro XL= up to 20 probes (4 per Dock)
- 5 MEATER Pro Duos= up to 10 probes (2 per Dock)
- 5 MEATER Plus/SE/ Pro= up to 5 probes (1 per device)
Best Practices for Setup
- Check Bluetooth Capacity: Most smart devices support up to 7 active Bluetooth connections. Ensure your device can handle the number of MEATERs you plan to use.
- Start with One Probe: Open the MEATER app and remove the first probe from its charger.
- Proceed with Cook Setup: Follow the normal steps until you reach the target temperature screen.
- Name Your Cook: Tap the pencil icon to name each cook for easy tracking.
Examples: “Ribeye on right”, “Mom’s steak”, “Brisket - flat” - Repeat for Each Probe: Complete the setup for each probe individually.
- Begin Cooking: Once all probes are programmed, you're ready to cook multiple items simultaneously.
