How do MEATER products charge?

What's in This Article?

MEATER probe

All MEATER probes charge while docked in the charging base. For most new MEATER devices, open the battery compartment in the back of the charger, then take out the tab between the battery and the charging contact so the probe(s) can start charging.

If you have MEATER Pro Duo or MEATER Pro XL, these don't use disposable batteries, so just plug in the charger with the included USB-C cable.

The original probes found in MEATER, MEATER Plus, and MEATER SE need to charge for 2 hours before use.

  • MEATER Block probes need 8 hours to charge, and will only charge while the charger is turned off.
  • MEATER Pro probes only need 15 minutes to charge.

On a full charge, the probes can last around 24 hours.

Charger

Single-probe chargers are powered by 1 AAA battery, and MEATER Block is powered by 4 AA batteries. The AAA battery in the single-probe chargers can last for up to a year, but MEATER Block batteries will run out much faster because of the built-in WiFi capability.

To help save your batteries, MEATER Block has a micro USB port built into the side. When the charger is plugged in, this takes precedence over the AA batteries, but keep in mind that this won't recharge the batteries.
