1. Check Charger Power

Press the power button on the front of the charger to see if it turns on:

  • Screen turns on, touchpad buttons are responsive: The AA batteries are still good and the charger should be working. Jump to the section below for the next steps.
  • No response from screen or touchpad: The AA batteries are completely drained, or the charger isn't functioning correctly. Go to No Power to MEATER Block Charger for the next steps.

2. Check Probe Connection

Disconnections can come from either the probe or the charger. To find out which it is, look at the symbol next to the probes on the built-in charger screen:

  • Check mark: The probe is connected to the charger, which means the disconnection is between the charger and your phone/tablet. Jump to Section 3 below for the next steps.
  • The word "Setup": The probe is connected to the charger, and the charger is in Standalone mode. You can check out this article to learn more.
  • Spinning circle: The probe is not connected to the charger. Go to Probe-to-Charger Connection - MEATER Block for the next steps.

3. Find Disconnection Type

Symptoms will look a little bit different depending on whether you're pairing your MEATER Block for the first time, or if it's already paired to your MEATER app.

First Time Pairing

Follow along with the Quick Start Guide, and notice where you get stuck:

  • "No Devices Found" screen: MEATER Block can't make its initial Bluetooth pairing. Make sure the probes have been charged for at least 8 hours with MEATER Block turned off. If the product still doesn't connect, go to Device Compatibility and Permissions - MEATER Block for the next steps.
  • "Connection Failed" screen both on charger and in app: MEATER Block can't connect to the Wi-Fi network you've selected. Go to No WiFi Connection for the next steps.
  • "Wi-Fi Connected" screen on charger, "Connection Failed" screen in app: MEATER Block is connected to the network, but can't communicate with your phone/tablet. Go to MEATER Device Connects to WiFi but Won't Communicate with App for the next steps.
