MEATER Master Class is a recipe mode that guides you through preparing meat dishes from start to finish. Our app offers step-by-step instructions, which are very simple to follow and integrate into the MEATER Cooks without any issues.
Using MEATER Master Class
1. Get Started
To begin, tap the Master Class icon (chef's hat) in the bottom menu of the app. This opens the recipe menu, where they can choose from a variety of dishes.
2. Select a Recipe
Browse through available recipes, which can be filtered by categories such as Sauce, Indoor, and Outdoor cooking. Each recipe displays

Complexity Level: Indicated by knife icons (more knives mean a more complex recipe).

Cook Time: The estimated time to prepare the dish.

The Appliance: The appliance (oven, grill, etc.) in which this dish is best cooked.
3. Preparing Ingredients & Tools
- Once a recipe is selected, you can review the Description, Ingredients, and Tools required. The app shows:
- A detailed recipe description may include pairings for sides and beverages.
- Ingredients Tab: Gives a full list of ingredients needed for the cook. You can use it as a checklist to make sure you have everything you need.
- Tools Tab: Displays all the tools or utensils required during the cook. You can check them off as a checklist.
4. Cooking with MEATER
After reviewing ingredients and tools, tap Start Cook to begin. The app will guide you step-by-step through the cooking process, with:

Written Instructions: Clear and easy text to follow.

Video Tutorials: Visual guidance for each step.
- Flavor Text: As you follow along, you'll also see Flavor Text, which should help explain the reasoning behind ingredient choices and techniques.

Pro Tips: On certain screens, you can tap the lightbulb icon for extra Pro Tips that provide additional advice, although these are not required for cooking.
Connecting MEATER Devices
When it’s time to insert the probe into the meat, you will see a list of connected MEATER devices. If no device is connected, the app will prompt you to connect one.
Setting Internal Temperature
The app will set the target internal temperature automatically based on the recommended cook. You can adjust the temperature as needed, which will take you to the app's temperature and doneness selection screen.
Cook Notifications
For recipes with multiple cooking steps, the app will notify you when to move on to the next step. These notifications are easy to follow and will make sure the recipe is executed properly.
4. Ready to Serve
Once the cooking process is complete, the app will notify you that your dish is ready to be served.
Additional Information
Context Menu
The Context Menu (three dots in the top right corner) provides additional options during the cook. You can use this menu to navigate your checklist, the steps of the recipe, the recipe description, the main MEATER Dashboard, and you can even cancel the cook from here.
Recipe Steps Overview
By tapping Steps in the context menu, you can view a full list of steps for the recipe, which helps you plan their cook more efficiently.
