Can I Cook Small Cuts of Meat with MEATER?

What's in This Article?

Cooking small cuts of meat with MEATER can be challenging, considering that the probe needs to be inserted halfway between the minimum insertion notch and the black ceramic handle. The temperature sensor needs to be in the center of the thickest part of the meat.

  • With smaller cuts of meat, the end of the probe may stick out beyond the meat when inserted to this depth. This type of exposure to the probe will cause inaccurate readings, and the heat from the appliance could damage the probe.
  • If the meat is too thin, the internal sensor can start picking up the higher air temperature, and the app will think the cook is finished before it is.

For these reasons, we do not recommend using our probes with smaller cuts of meat.
