This article covers how to turn MEATER app notifications on and off, and how to customize which notifications are received.
Turning Notifications On and Off
Setting notification preferences differs slightly depending on the kind of phone or tablet you are using.
iOS Settings
You can choose whether or not you want to receive any notifications from the MEATER app.
To switch notifications on or off, go to Settings > Notifications > MEATER, and flip the "Allow Notifications" toggle. From this menu, you can also allow Critical Alerts or switch the notifications to silent.
Android Settings
You can choose whether or not you want to receive any notifications from the MEATER app.
By tapping "Notification categories", you can have control over which specific notifications you want to receive, so you can still get some even if you want to turn off others.
Customizing Notifications
Within the MEATER app, you have more options for which notifications you receive. You can find these settings with the steps below:
- Tap the Initials Icon in the upper right corner of the MEATER app dashboard.
Select "Notifications".
From here, you can choose whether or not to receive an alert 5 minutes before removing from heat, and also whether MEATER notifications can override the phone volume or Do Not Disturb settings.
