With the MEATER Pro Collection, we've added an optional alert at 527°F / 275°C. Your probe will still be fine at temperatures up to 1000°F / 550°C, but you can use this extra alarm to give you a heads up in case of flare-ups or grease fires.
If you'd rather not have this alert, you can tap the bell icon below the "Tap to Set Up Cook" button on the probe screen, then disable the flare-up option. Keep in mind that you'll need to disable it for each cook.
