Some users may see the error message “Couldn’t connect to the Cloud at this moment” even when their device appears to be properly connected to MEATER Cloud.
What’s causing this?
This error typically occurs when MEATER Cloud is down, or your authentication token has expired. The authentication token expires after the app hasn’t been used for 7 days. Even though your device may show as connected, the expired token prevents proper communication with MEATER Cloud.
Update the MEATER App
Make sure your MEATER app is up to date—this issue has been resolved as of app version 4.6.3.
If your app is updated, and you're still seeing this error, your authentication token might need to be refreshed:
- Open the MEATER app
- Tap the three dots menu
- Go to Settings
- Select Account Settings
- Tap Sign Out of MEATER Cloud
- Sign back in to refresh your authentication token
