What It Means

MEATER charging docks can operate between 14°F and 140°F (-10°C - 60°C). When the charger gets too cold, it may temporarily stop working.

MEATER Pro XL chargers will display a warning alert, "Charger Too Cold!!!" when the dock reaches 19°F (-7°C), to help you avoid this issue.

Why It Happens

Since MEATER chargers need to stay close to the cooking appliance for the probes to stay connected, this usually happens when cooking outdoors in extremely cold weather.

How to Fix It

If your MEATER charger stops working because it’s too cold, move it to a warmer environment and allow it to warm up. If needed, charge the dock. It will start working again once it’s back within the temperature limits.

To avoid this alert, always keep the charger in temperatures above 19°F/-7°C.

Charger Too Cold When Not in Cold Weather

If your charging dock shows a "Charger Too Cold" message when it isn’t in a cold environment, contact support for assistance.
