Low Battery Warning - Probe
You may notice low battery warning messages in the app even after fully charging your probe. When this issue first appears, you will see this warning:
Troubleshooting steps
- If the probe has been used for cooking, thoroughly clean the silver contact point of the ambient end of the probe. (See Cleaning MEATER Probes) Residue from cooking can prevent proper contact with the charger.
- Ensure the AAA battery in the charger has been replaced recently and the probe has been charged for at least 2 hours.
- If the probe has been charged for 2 hours with a new AAA battery, check for potential defects. Inspect if any part of the probe can wiggle or twist. Also, look for hairline cracks in the ceramic ambient end. Please take images of the probe’s end for reference.
- If no damage is found, remove the AAA battery from your MEATER Plus charger and dock the probe.
- Restart your smart device.
- Reset the battery in the charger before removing the probe from the charger.
- Open the app and tap the three dots in the upper right corner of the screen. Select My Devices and take a screenshot showing your connected probes.
- If the battery level still shows as low, please contact our support team for further assistance.
- If the battery level shows as fully charged, set up a test cook to check if the low battery warning appears. If the test cook does show the warning after a few minutes, note the app version you are using, found at the top of the My Devices menu, and contact us to share it with our support team.
- If the test cook completes without issues, this may indicate a problem with the app. We are aware of this issue and our technical team is working on a solution.
