Low Battery Warning - Probe

Symptom

You may notice low battery warning messages in the app despite fully charging your probe. When the issue first appears, you will see this warning:

Troubleshooting steps

  1. If the probe has been used for cooking, thoroughly clean the ambient end. Residue from cooking can prevent the probe from making proper contact with the dock.
  2. Ensure the AAA battery in the dock has been replaced recently and the probe has been charged for at least 15 minutes.
  3. If the probe has been charged for 15 minutes with a new AAA battery, check for potential defects in the probe. Check if any part of the probe can wiggle or twist.
  4. If no damage is found, remove the AAA battery from your MEATER Pro dock and dock the probe.
  5. Next, restart your smart device.
  6. Take out the battery and put it back in the dock before removing the probe from the dock.
  7. Open the app and tap the three dots in the upper right corner of the screen. Select My Devices.
  8. If the battery level still shows as low, contact support for further assistance.
  9. If the battery level shows as fully charged, set up a test cook to see if you receive the same low battery warning. If the test cook shows the warning after a few minutes, note the app version you are using and contact support. The app version can be found at the top of the My Devices menu.
  10. If the test cook completes without issues, this indicates a potential issue with the app. We are aware of this, and it has been escalated to our technical team.
