Before You Get Started

  • Charge your MEATER probe for at least 2 hours.
  • Make sure your phone's Bluetooth is turned on.
  • Download the MEATER app

A MEATER Cloud Account is required to use the MEATER App


Step 1. Add Device in the MEATER App

Open the MEATER App on your phone. On your first login, the app will prompt you to add a device. If the app doesn’t automatically prompt you to add a device, manually tap the + Add Device button. 

If you already have a MEATER paired, tap the three dots in the top-right corner of the home screen. From the drop-down menu, select Add Devices.

Step 2. Accept Safety Information

Review and accept the Safety Agreement, then continue through the educational screens about sensors, the battery tab, and charging.

Step 3. Pair the Probe

Once you reach the Pairing Screen, follow these steps:

  • Remove the probe from the dock.
  • Wait for pairing to complete. Keep the probe close to your device. When paired, you’ll see the “MEATER Probe Found” screen.

Step 4. Congratulations! Pairing Complete

When setup is complete, you'll see the cook dashboard. Your MEATER Original is ready to use.

First Time Cooking After Pairing

The MEATER app will prompt new users to watch three short Getting Started videos.

Each video is under 30 seconds. You may skip them, but all three must be watched before your first cook.
