How to Pair MEATER Pro Duo with the MEATER App

Pairing your MEATER Pro Duo is an easy process you can complete in just a few simple steps.

1. Charge MEATER Pro Duo

  • Before starting the pairing process, make sure that the MEATER Pro Duo has been charging for at least 30 minutes. This is to prevent issues during pairing like disconnections or the device not pairing properly.

2. Download & Open the MEATER App

If you don't have the MEATER app, download it from the App Store on iPhone or the Play Store for Android. Look for the following icon:mceclip0-removebg-preview.png

Open the MEATER App. Tap Add Devices.

  • If you already have a MEATER paired, tap the three dots in the top-right corner of the home screen. From the drop-down menu, select Add Devices. If the app doesn’t automatically prompt you to add a device, manually tap the + Add Device button.

If no other MEATER devices are in range, it will bypass the device selection screen and proceed directly to the next step.

4. Prepare the Unit for Pairing

Once you reach the Pairing Screen, you will need to prepare the probes for pairing.

  • Remove the Probes from the Charger: Remove both probes from the charger.

  • Wait for the Green Light: The probes need to be within range of the charger. Wait for the green light to blink. The blinking green light indicates that the probes are paired with the dock. Each light will correspond with the right or left probe, respectively.

Once the probes are ready, the app should display the "MEATER Pro Duo Found" screen.

  • LED Behavior: Both LED lights will blink red when a firmware update is in progress.

Proceed with the update, as running the latest version helps avoid issues during setup or in the future.

Firmware Update Fails: If the app doesn’t display the connection complete screen or if the connection fails, refer to MEATER Pro Duo Not Connecting for additional steps.

Watch MEATER Academy Videos

Once the device is paired, the app might take you to the Getting Started or the Quick Start Guide screen. You will need to watch three short videos about using the MEATER product.

Each video is under 30 seconds long. You can skip the videos, but you must watch all three before starting your first cook. If you attempt to start a cook without watching the videos, the app will prompt you to watch them first.
