How to Pair Your MEATER Plus with the MEATER App
Pairing your MEATER Plus is an easy process you can complete in just a few simple steps.
1. Charge Your MEATER Plus
Before attempting to pair, remove the white battery tab and charge your MEATER Plus for at least 2 hours. This prevents issues during pairing, such as disconnections or the device not pairing properly.
2. Download & Open the MEATER App

Download the MEATER app. Look for the MEATER icon

- Open the MEATER App and tap Add Devices.
- The app will ask if there is a + sign on your charger. Select yes. This ensures you’re pairing the correct unit
3. Accept Safety Agreement and Review Educational Content
Next, you’ll be prompted to accept the Safety Agreement before continuing. Once accepted, the app will display a few educational screens explaining temperature sensors, the battery tab, and device charging:
4. Pair the Unit to the Phone
Once you reach the Pairing Screen, follow these steps to pair the unit:

Remove the probe from the charging dock and wait for the LED to blink green. A blinking green LED indicates the probe is paired with the dock.

Once the unit is paired, the app should display the "MEATER Plus Found" screen.

Update firmware, if needed. If a firmware update is available, the app will prompt you to proceed with a firmware update.
- LED Behavior: The LED light will blink red when a firmware update is in progress.
- Proceed with the update, as running the latest version helps avoid issues during setup or in the future.
- Firmware Update Fails: If the app doesn’t display the connection complete screen or if the connection fails, refer to MEATER Plus Not Connecting for additional steps.
5. Start Cooking!
Once setup is complete, you’ll be taken to the cook dashboard. From here, you can begin using your MEATER Plus to start cooking.

Once your device is paired, the app may take you to the Getting Started or Quick Start Guide screen. You’ll need to watch three short videos about using the MEATER product.
Each video is under 30 seconds long. You can skip the videos, but you must watch all three before starting your first cook. If you try to start a cook without watching the videos, the app will prompt you to watch them first.
