How to Use MEATER Link and Cloud

What's in This Article?

Instructions to extend the range of your MEATER using the free MEATER Link and Cloud services with a second phone or tablet.

MEATER Link and Cloud

To use MEATER Link or Cloud, you will need a second Android or iOS device and access to a WiFi network. Your second smart device will serve as a bridge from your MEATER product's Bluetooth to your home's WiFi. Due to this, the second device has to remain within Bluetooth range during your cook.

MEATER Link will allow you to remain connected and monitor your cook anywhere in your home WiFi network. If you sign in to our free MEATER Cloud service, the range becomes infinite — you'll be able to access your cook data anywhere you have access to WiFi or cellular data.

Setup Requirements
You will need:
A primary smart device
A secondary smart device
A MEATER Cloud account
A WiFi connection

If you do not have a MEATER Cloud account, navigate to the settings page of the MEATER app and select "Sign Into MEATER Cloud." From there, you'll be prompted to log in with an existing account or create a new one. For further instructions, see Managing Your MEATER Cloud and App Account.

MEATER Link Instructions

Both smart devices must be connected to the same WiFi network before getting started.

  1. Pair the MEATER probe with your primary device via Bluetooth using the MEATER app.
  2. Install the MEATER app on your second smart device and sign in using the same MEATER Cloud account.
  3. Connect both devices to the same WiFi network. This is required for MEATER Link to establish a bridge.
  4. Enable MEATER Link:
    • iOS: The link is automatic once both devices are on the same WiFi network and logged in.
    • Android: Open the app settings and manually toggle "MEATER Link" on.
  5. Leave the bridge device within Bluetooth range of the probe. You can then walk away with the primary device and stay connected via WiFi — or via MEATER Cloud if enabled.
  6. If using MEATER Cloud, your connection will continue anywhere you have internet access, even outside your home network.

This connection will remain active anywhere you have internet access. Once you move out of range of your WiFi network, there may be a brief gap in connection, but the app will automatically switch to using mobile data.
