Before You Get Started
- Remove the white battery tab and charge your MEATER Plus for at least 2 hours.
- Make sure your phone is connected to a stable network (WiFi or cellular).
- Download the MEATER app.
A MEATER Cloud Account is required to use the MEATER App
Step 1. Add Device in the MEATER App
Open the MEATER App on your phone. On your first login, the app will prompt you to add a device. If the app doesn’t automatically prompt you to add a device, manually tap the + Add Device button.
If you already have a MEATER paired, tap the three dots in the top-right corner of the home screen. From the drop-down menu, select Add Devices.
- Select “Yes” when asked if there is a + sign on your charger. This ensures you're pairing the correct unit.
Step 2. Accept Safety Information
Review and accept the Safety Agreement, then continue through the educational screens about temperature sensors, the battery tab, and charging.
Step 3. Pair the Unit to Your Phone
Once you reach the Pairing Screen, follow these steps:
- Remove the probe from the charging dock and wait for the LED to blink green. A blinking green LED indicates the probe is paired with the dock.
- When the probe is detected, the app will display the "MEATER Plus Found" screen.
Step 4. Update Firmware (If Prompted)
If a firmware update is available, the app will prompt you to proceed.
- LED Behavior: The LED will blink red during the update.
- Proceed with the update to ensure best performance.

Step 5. Congratulations! Pairing Complete
When setup is complete, you’ll see the cook dashboard. Your MEATER Plus is now ready to use.
First Time Cooking After Pairing
Before your first cook, the MEATER app may prompt you to watch three short Getting Started videos.
Each video is under 30 seconds. You may skip them, but you must watch all three before starting your first cook.
