Before You Get Started
- Charge your MEATER Pro Duo for at least 30 minutes. For best results, use the included USB-C cable to charge your dock.
- Make sure your phone is connected to a stable 2.4GHz WiFi network.
- Download the MEATER app
A MEATER Cloud Account is required to use the MEATER App
Step 1. Add Device in the MEATER App
Open the MEATER App on your phone. On your first login, the app will prompt you to add a device. If the app doesn’t automatically prompt you to add a device, manually tap the + Add Device button.
If you already have a MEATER paired, tap the three dots in the top-right corner of the home screen. From the drop-down menu, select Add Devices.
Step 2. Accept Safety Information
Review and accept the Safety Agreement, then continue through the educational screens about temperature sensors and charging.
Step 3. Remove Probes from Dock
- Remove both probes from the charger.
- The LED lights should blink green, indicating the probes are connected to the charging dock.
- When ready, the app will show “MEATER Pro Duo Found”.
- In the case that you have multiple WiFi units, the app will display a list of available devices.
Step 4. Connect to WiFi
Follow the prompts to connect your MEATER Pro Duo to WiFi.
- Select your WiFi network from the list of available 2.4 GHz networks
- Enter your WiFi password
Don't see your network?
- MEATER Pro Duo requires a 2.4 GHz network to connect to WiFi.
- Confirm you don't have any VPNs or firewalls turned on that could hide your network.
Step 5. Update Firmware (If Prompted)
If a new firmware version is available, the app will prompt you to update your MEATER Pro Duo firmware.
- Both LEDs will blink red during the update.
- Keep the probes close to the charger.

Step 6. Congratulations! Pairing Complete
When setup is complete, you'll see the cook dashboard. Your MEATER Pro Duo is now ready to use.
First Time Cooking After Pairing
Before starting your first cook, the MEATER app will prompt new MEATER users need to watch three short Getting Started videos.
Each video is under 30 seconds. You may skip them, but you'll need to watch all three before starting your first cook.
