Before You Get Started

  • Charge your MEATER Pro for at least 15 minutes.
  • Make sure your phone's Bluetooth is turned on.
  • Download the MEATER app

A MEATER Cloud Account is required to use the MEATER App


Step 1. Add Device in the MEATER App

Open the MEATER App on your phone. On your first login, the app will prompt you to add a device. If the app doesn’t automatically prompt you to add a device, manually tap the + Add Device button. 

If you already have a MEATER paired, tap the three dots in the top-right corner of the home screen. From the drop-down menu, select Add Devices.

Step 2. Accept Safety Information

You will be prompted to accept the Safety Agreement. After accepting, review the educational screens explaining temperature sensors, battery tab, and charging.

Step 3. Pair the Unit to Your Phone

Once you reach the pairing screen, follow these steps:

  • Remove the probe from the dock.
  • Wait for the green light to blink. This indicates the probe is paired with the dock.

When paired, the app will show the “MEATER Pro Found” screen.

Step 4. Update Firmware (If Prompted)

If a firmware update is available, the app will prompt you.

  • LED Behavior: The LED will blink red during the update.

Keeping firmware updated helps prevent setup issues.

Step 5. Congratulations! Pairing Complete

Once setup is complete, you'll see the cook dashboard. Your MEATER Pro is ready to use.

First Time Cooking After Pairing

After pairing, the app may show the Getting Started or Quick Start Guide screen.

You’ll need to watch three short videos about using your MEATER product.

Each video is under 30 seconds. You may skip them, but you must watch all three before starting your first cook.
